SOPHIE Ellis-Bextor is pregnant with baby number five.

Songstress Sophie Ellis-Bextor is pregnant with her fifth child with her musician husband Richard Jones.
The couple already have four sons together, with their fourth born in October 2015.
She announced the news on Chris Evans’ BBC Radio 2 Breakfast show, revealing they don’t yet know if they’re expecting a boy or a girl.

The Murder On The Dancefloor hitmaker said: "The album will come out around the same time as my fifth infant because I'm having my fifth baby. Mental!"
Sophie, 39, then laughed as everyone in the studio applauded her exciting news.
The couple already have four children; Sonny, 14, Ray, six, Kit, nine, and Jesse, two.

Chris Evans asked Sophie if being a parent gets easier, to which she responded: “No, I don’t think it does.”
She continued: “But you get more relaxed with the chaos.”
Sophie added she recently experienced what it’s like to have five children, after they allowed their son to bring a friend on holiday.
The If This Ain’t Love hitmaker said: “I’ve just had a week away with Richard and five kids because our eldest brought a mate and I took a book, which now seems like the most optimistic thing I could have done. It didn't even get opened."

Although pregnant for the fifth time, Sophie is continuing to work and is busy promoting her new album.
In a previous interview with The Independent she said of motherhood: “[It’s] made me a better performer, a better artist, a happier person.”
Sophie and partner Richard have been together since 2002 and found out they were expecting their first child six weeks into their romance.
