Wax Technician

Pay : $18/hr

Timings : 6:30-5:00 Mon- Thurs with 2 paid breaks, one 30 minute unpaid lunch break

Hours : 40 hrs /week no overtime for now but maybe down the road

Will work in our wax department being a part of a fast-paced team environment. This departments is responsible for some of the initial steps necessary for producing unique pieces of art for artists around the country and across the world. This position will occasionally be needed to help in related departments and the desire is to cross train. The Wax department is an air conditioned workspaces.

• Clean and prepping wax patterns
• Use measuring equipment and hand tools
• Check parts for accuracy/ finish waxes to client specifications
• Inspect completed work with strong attention to detail and meet quality standard
• Maintain clean and organized workspace
• Physical stamina- ability to stand at work station for long periods, also bend, stoop, sit, lift up to 50lbs regularly
• Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications :

· Must pass Pulmonary Function Test

· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

· Previous art/aesthetic focused work experience is desired

· Strong attention to detail

· Motivated self-starter with sense of urgency and ability to work independently

· Ability to follow written and spoken work instructions

· Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions

· Maintain reliable and fast work pace consistent with production goals/timelines for quality and quantity

• Vision capabilities such as depth perception, color, attention to detail
• Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility.
• Must have reliable transportation, strong work ethic, and competency in safety practices/ procedures
• May be exposed to noise, dust, airborne particles, fumes, smoke (not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels)
