The Department of Psychology at Ursinus College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Psychology to begin in Fall 2025 for the 2025-26 academic year, with the possibility of a 1-year extension. The Department seeks an individual who is trained in clinical psychology and can contribute to courses in clinical, counseling, and/or applied psychology.
Responsibilities
We specifically invite applicants whose expertise is in the field of clinical psychology. License-eligible candidates with interdisciplinary interests and/or experience working with individuals from underrepresented communities are particularly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities will include teaching introductory courses in clinical or counseling psychology, an upper-level course that combines experiential learning with clinical or counseling psychology, and a seminar course in the applicant’s area of expertise. Applicants may develop a research or professional program that involves and engages undergraduates as part of the position, but this is not required.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Ph.D. or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology is required. Teaching experience strongly preferred. Post-doctoral experience is a plus.
