Sterile Processing Technician - Paying up to $25/hr.

Location: Leawood, KS

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: 4 9 hour shifts a week - no weekends or holidays

Actalent is seeking a meticulous and skilled Sterile Processing Technician to ensure medical instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated, sterilized, and ready for use in clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination.
• Manually clean supplies of contaminants, remove waste matter, and operate and maintain decontamination equipment.
• Prepare and pack decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
• Monitor and operate sterilization equipment.
• Examine supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Test and report any issues or problems with the sterilization equipment.
• Sterilize, prepare, wrap, and organize equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Sterile Processing certification preferred, but we will consider applicants with relevant work experience.
• OR / Outpatient / or ambulatory experience preferred
