**Job Title: Product Specialist, Commercial Property Underwriting**

As a Product Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Product Strategy & Innovation team, working closely with product managers, software development, quality assurance, marketing, and sales to deploy new innovations within the Commercial Property Underwriting department.

**Day-to-Day Responsibilities:**

- Support the Commercial Casualty team by assisting in the creation, testing, and tracking of project requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and data science teams to ensure clear communication of requirements, goals, and timelines.
- Maintain consistent communication with the team to ensure a smooth cycle of feedback, development, release, and support.
- Effectively collaborate with colleagues in product, risk engineering, marketing, sales, information technology, and data science to ensure effective delivery of product goals.
- Participate in the product portion of sales opportunities to ensure effective positioning of the solution's value proposition and customer comfort with the product capabilities.
- Analyze internal and external data to develop reasoned recommendations and present related business cases to management.
- Collaborate with prospective users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
- Create a product roadmap based on the product vision.
- Manage the product backlog and prioritize features based on changing requirements.
- Oversee all stages of product creation, including design and development.
- Work with the product team and end-users to deliver solutions for defects and enhancements.
- Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints.
- Update and maintain data dictionaries.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, software development, statistics) or equivalent work experience.
- An innovative mindset, open to new ideas and challenges.
- The ability to distill critical business insights from large quantities of data.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

**Desirable Skills:**

- Familiarity with C# applications.
- Underwriting experience in Commercial insurance preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile software development principles and use of the JIRA platform.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Power Automate, and Microsoft Forms.
