About Us: At Auro Hotels, we are dedicated to crafting memorable experiences through exceptional hotel design. As we expand our portfolio of Full Service, Artisan, and Luxury properties, we are seeking a creative and driven Junior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in our Atlanta office.
Position Overview: The Junior Interior Designer will play a crucial role in managing Select Service and CapEx design projects. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is eager to grow in the hospitality design field while supporting our Director of Interior Design in delivering outstanding design solutions.
Key Responsibilities: - CapEx Design Directives: Travel as needed to meet with General Managers (GMs) to assess property needs and provide design solutions that align with the overall property aesthetic. Partner with in-house Auro procurement team to review all FF&E purchase orders for accuracy as they relate to the design specifications.
- Select Service Coordination: Oversee design presentations, submittal reviews, and communication with interior design firms and brands throughout the design and submittal process.
- Resource Management: Maintain and organize the resource library, manage sample trays for projects, and handle communications with manufacturers' representatives.
- 3rd Party Creative Management: Coordinate with 3rd party resources, including stylists, photographers, and artists for Select Service properties. Facilitate connections between selected parties and property GMs as needed.
- Marketing Partnership: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that completed interior design work and styling are in sync with photoshoot schedules.
- Office Maintenance: Notify building maintenance of any office issues such as window leaks or non-functional lighting. Order office supplies as needed.
- Project Management:
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, presentations, and site visits.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design briefs, status reports, and project timelines.
- Track project budgets and expenses, ensuring that expenditures align with approved budgets.
- Assist with procurement of design materials and supplies.
- Handle routine administrative tasks such as managing emails, filing, and updating project files.
- Communicate with Construction Project Manager's in the field to ensure they have all ID related information as needed.
Requirements: - Degree in Interior Design from an accredited institution.
- 3-5 years of experience in hospitality design and project management preferred.
- Strong interior design portfolio.
- Preferred experience with Bluebeam Revu.
- Existing relationships with local reps and design firms in Atlanta are a plus.
- Ability to come into Buckhead office Monday - Friday fulltime.
Salary: - $65,000 - $70,000 annually
