As an Operations Specialist, you’ll help make sure stock and bond trades are completed smoothly and on time. Think of it as the “backstage crew” of finance—while others make the trades, you’ll make sure everything gets settled correctly and without delays. This is a great starting point if you’re new to the financial industry and want to learn how markets really work.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day):

• Process Trades: Make sure trades for stocks, bonds, and other securities go through the system correctly.
• Check the Details: Review trade information (like account numbers, quantities, and codes) to confirm everything matches.
• Fix Issues: If something doesn’t line up, work with your team or managers to sort it out quickly.
• Stay on Schedule: Keep track of deadlines so trades are settled on time.
• Communicate Clearly: Send professional emails or make calls to teammates, clients, or other firms to keep things moving smoothly.
• Share Updates: Help with reports that show how much work was done and where issues came up.
• Work as a Team: Join discussions to make processes easier and learn how your role connects to the bigger picture.
