Job Description

Avista's Enterprise Technology department is seeking a motivated and passionate intern to join our Digital Innovation program at the Scott Morris Center for Energy Innovation. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable utility industry experience by working alongside our team in the energy innovation lab. The intern will engage in a variety of tasks, including software development, data science, and advanced grid analytics, all aimed at supporting Avista's commitment to energy innovation for our customers. Additionally, the candidate may contribute to projects on the Avista Digital Exchange, a platform designed to securely share utility data and accelerate energy innovation initiatives. This internship is full-time during the summer, with the possibility of continuing part-time during the school year and potentially extending up to graduation, depending on mutual fit and progression. Ideal candidates will possess technical proficiency and a strong enthusiasm for advancing energy solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Undergraduate student enrolled full time in college earning a Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or another related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are a plus.
Student Specialist Tech-1 (Freshman), Starting Salary: $18.54 per hour

Student Specialist Tech-2 (Sophomore), Starting Salary: $20.39 per hour

Student Specialist Tech-3 (Junior), Starting Salary: $22.43 per hour

Student Specialist Tech-4 (Senior), Starting Salary: $24.68 per hour
