College Tours Coordinator (CTC) (40 hours, Full-time) Exempt
College Mentoring Experience College Tours Coordinator organizes and facilitates local and national college campus tours and/or visits for program and community youth. The College Tours Coordinator supports youth and families with knowledge and guidance through college exposure and other related processes ensuring youth are provided essential resources in making an informed decision and effectively navigate college enrollment. The College Tours Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local and national colleges/universities
- Coordinate and plan college campus tours, and overnight/extended college campus visits
- Attending day tours and some overnight tours with students and families, developing and conducting learning activities for tour experiences to ensure that students maximize their experience
- Communicate with youth, families, and community partners/stakeholders via email, phone, and social media marketing college campus tours and events
- Represent College Mentoring Experience positively in the community to youth, parents, and community members and partners
- Collaborate with administrative staff and other team members to plan and execute program workshops and events
- Recruiting and meticulously tracking application and registration statuses for both scholars and parents/chaperones intending to attend tours
- Researching colleges and universities in order to share school summaries to help students and parents learn about their options
- Maintaining accurate data and sending out timely and accurate communication to scholars and parents/guardians regarding tour logistics
- Reviewing applications to determine colleges that will best fit students' interests and needs and recommending tours to take
- Maintaining programmatic data that helps to ascertain the effectiveness and frequency of programming
- Monitoring and updating program budget and spending documents to ensure that tours are conducted within budget and all receipts and spending records are appropriately reported and filed
- Meeting individually with students and parents to help review and update their personal "roadmap" showing where they have toured as a part of CME and where they plan to tour in the future
- Attend staff meetings, workshops and events as required
- The job may require some weekend and evening hours

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Forms, and Teams)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting may be required.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.

QUAILIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, or a related field is required
- Previous experience in mentoring programs, non-profit organizations, or related educational support initiatives
- High level of expertise in child safety and risk management
- Must be able to successfully pass background checks
- Must have a valid driver’s license, and access to reliable transportation
- Must have proof of COVID vaccination
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of best practices in mentoring and student support services
