Role - Cloud Project Manager

Location - Austin, TX (Onsite)

Job Description:

Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.


  • 2+ years of experience in cloud computing emerging technologies or related technical fields. (GCP Preferred)


  • Experience in software program management and/or engineering management.


  • Experience leading software engineering teams (e.g. mentoring junior engineers, setting technical direction, etc.).


Preferred qualifications:



  • PMP or CSM or any other relevant certification.


  • Knowledge of private and public cloud design considerations in the areas of; Big Data and Analytics, virtualization, global infrastructure, distributed systems, Cloud Networking, massive data storage, Hadoop, MapReduce, and security.


  • Track record of working towards strategic goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong organization and prioritization skills.


  • Experience working cross-functionally in a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.


  • Experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.


  • Strong spoken and written communication skills.


Responsibilities:



  • Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fluid environment.


  • Be responsible for the overall planning, actioning, and success of technical projects.


  • Provide the required hands-on software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and inter/intra team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes.


  • Work closely with software engineers, QA, product managers and other engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (build, test and release on time).


  • Manage project schedules, identify possible issues and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders.


  • Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environment.
