If so, we need YOU for our robust political program during the upcoming general election to help mobilize voters for critical races! The Oregon AFL-CIO represents over 300,000 working Oregonians. Our mission is to improve the lives of our members and all workers, and to raise the standard of living for all Oregonians through collective bargaining, advocacy, political education and outreach. Being a part of our campaign team is a great way to build the skills and connections needed to launch a career in the non-profit sector, political organizing or grass-roots mobilization.,
This is a full-time temporary position. Our ideal candidates could begin canvassing on August 26th, with an orientation period the week prior and ends on November 5th (Election Day!). Compensation is $22-$25 per hour. The schedule will be 12:30-9pm 5 days a week, including a paid lunch break and opportunities for overtime paid at time and a half. Our unique paid canvass program provides regular intensive training and support, guest speakers and practice sessions to help each of you master the script and feel confident before we hit the doors!
