Charlotte Does LFW: The Looks The Editor Loves
by Charlotte Moore
InStyle Editor Charlotte Moore plans her SS17 wardrobe from London Fashion Week…
Five days of fashion in London and, oh, what a whirlwind of fabulous it's been. From Gigi and Zayn at the Versus rave to dancing bananas at Charlotte Olympia, to Burberry's star-studded see-now/buy-now magical romance. There were so many pieces to love, but these are the ones that have my name on it.
The trousers: Roksanda
I'm not a big fan of the term sports-luxe, but these trousers epitomise it. Fluid, flattering and gorgeously modern, now all I need is a tailor (I'm only 5ft 4).
The over-robe: Burberry
I loved the styling on this show – all those pyjama-ry trousers and frilly Shakespearean shirts. I'd wear this robe with jeans and a scoop neck t-shirt.
The dress: JW Anderson
I have bought lots of JW in my time and always look forward to his show. But this was so much more wearable than his AW16 collection. With grown-up prices you kind of need pieces that work on more than one occasion. I know that will happen with this dress.
The shoes: Christopher Kane Crocs
I might as well own up to the fact that I have bought so many Crocs in my time – mostly for my kids who refused to wear anything else until the age of 9. Who else but Christopher Kane would take the Croc and make it cool?
The skirt: Mulberry
I know we were meant to be there mostly for the bags, but how wonderful were the clothes at this show? We all fell in love with the collegiate stripes and this skirt is just divine.
