Using the night to get their best glad rags on, the likes of Kym Marsh and Catherine Tyldesley are stealing the show and topping best dressed lists.

However, in somewhat of a female statement, the ladies of soap land have all embraced one trend in particular for 2017 – the daring cleavage reveal.

Ignoring all the Amanda Holden dramas that happened on Britain’s Got Talent, the females of Coronation Street, EastEnders, Hollyoaks and Emmerdale didn’t let the prospect of complaints put them off showing a bit of skin.

Stepping on to the red carpet first, Corrie’s Catherine looked super elegant in her pale pink gown that featured a daring plunging neckline.

The mum of one also used her red carpet moment to send an extra-special message to those hurt or affected by the Manchester terror attack.

Also daring to bare was Stephanie Waring in her sheer black dress as was Sophie Porley who took the plunge in her monochrome gown.

And as if that wasn’t enough chest on show, Hollyoaks’ Nikki Sanderson also made the brave move in her sheer glittering green frock

With a skin coloured panel to help her beat any wardrobe malfunctions, the former Corrie actress oozed confidence.

Gareth Gates’ girlfriend Faye Brookes didn’t just catch eyes with her cleavage-revealing dress though as she chose a bright yellow frock to steal the show at the soap awards.

Others taking on the risky trend also included Lucy Fallon, Lauren McQueen and Daisy Wood-Davis.

The fashion movement comes as a surprise as it’s been just days since BGT judge Amanda received over 200 Offcom complaints for having her cleavage on show.

However, in a popular stance against the criticism, the 46 year old returned for another live show baring just as much skin to prove she wasn’t bothered by the backlash.
